Depends on what you mean best. I was physically at my best after I got out of basic training, just a week before starting college. I was happiest during college, especially the part in the middle. I was generally happy and productive in my early-to-mid 30s.
It's been pretty much all downhill since then.

@rinkydinkydoink Basic training itself was the absolute worst time of my life, but I cannot deny that it made me a god for a couple months.

Really? The worst? In what ways? But I understand the god feeling immediately afterward.
My remaining time ( almost 2 yrs) in the navy was one drunken blur... that set the tone for the rest of my friggin; life.
