No not since losing my son to suicide on 10-21-2019 at the age of 21. My daughter distancing herself from me, and being single 17 years come May 4th, 2024, no not really.
@WillaKissing So sorry for all you’ve been through. Hope things can somehow improve with your daughter.

@OlderSometimesWiser They started to improve a tad February 21st, 2024, very slowly but who is counting.
@WillaKissing Better than nothing though, yes? You’ve both been through what seems to me like the ultimate trauma. I’d imagine that healing, to the extent there can be, would be a lengthy, baby-step kinda process.

My friends and I, when going through tough times, always say we wish we had a magic wand to take all the pain away. So hard to see the people you care about suffering. But life just ain’t that simple and the older you get, the more you realize it.
