Job Interview, Walk With A Friend, Reflection, Gratitude, and Unconditional Love
These are just some of the things that will fill my day today. I also have a phone meeting with unemployment, I'm honestly more nervous for that than I am for the interview. Nobody will ask me at the interview why I got fired. They don't need to know I was. But I'm afraid I'm going to have to be honest if unemployment asks why I was fired. And it won't matter to them that I've been doing NA.
Anyway, the day is filled with excitement, opportunity, friendship, and my Higher Power's presence. I actually found an online NA meeting for 7AM that is rooted near my home town in PA, so I'm very much looking forward to that.
This morning I had coffee and my favorite maple flavored yogurt. Sat with the cat in the den and did my daily readings, my gratitude list, and wrote on how thankful I am for yesterday. Unconditional Love presented itself to me many times, and many times by name.
Having relapsed two days ago, my recovery feels very different this time around. I realized I did not have the support system I thought I did. Rather, I did know how to utilize it. You call before you pick up, not after! Sounds simple, but I was so ashamed by wanting to use I was thinking "nobody needs to know this." But that's how we keep each other, and ourselves, clean. By being open, honest, willing, and vulnerable.
