Do/did you feel your work is meaningful?

Pretty cool to see the fruits of my labor still cropping up so many months after I quit working.

Yes. It was very meaningful. My first job was working and and helping design the first CT and MRI scanners. I learned so much. I then got my degree and helped design the 486 processor with tools allowing trouble shooting before the chip was made. I worked on the first internet, designed the first IT remote management tools, and even worked with Microsoft to design some standards. Even have a few patents. It's fun to see the work I did in today's computers and how far capabilities have come. I now do volunteer work for a historic church repairing things. Very community minded and rewarding.
Yeah for sure. I still have some of the things given to me as a result. The poem I still keep by my bedside because it means a lot to me.

@HijabaDabbaDoo I wish my therapist was as hot and cool as you
@SwampFlower one time I spent the first 5 minutes of the session showing my client how I could crack my back because she was cracking her fingers and apologised and I was like "no, I'm impressed, can you do this tho?"
and that's what made 5 years of grueling education worth the struggle

I felt it was meaningful, but moving to our new plant has been trying. My role has changed, but I am adjusting.

I never did much when I was still working. Haven't figured out what I can do after I got sick. I'm sure there are plenty of things but my self-confidence is gone at this point and my anxiety has gotten really bad too.

I wipe tears, blood, and butts… I get to help people heal, comfort them on their worst days, and sometimes even make them laugh through it. While fighting my own battles sooo...I guess.

@mindstruggle yours is very meaningful ♥

Learned very quickly when I was working there simply is no end to the amount of trash being generated.

And it's increasing exponentially by the year. 😔

Recycling doesn't even deserve a insulting mention.
I mostly feel that my work is meaningful, but even when I don't, I mostly find it enjoyable.
Every so often when a student is actually enthused or gets excited. Usually it feels like I'm babysitting a bunch of kids recently labeled adults

Mine was very, now I am retired.
No. I struggle with it.

I used to, when I could work a real job.

These days, I know I'm essentially useless and easily replaced. I do my job and when my shift is over someone else picks up where I left off, there's nothing meaningful, anyone could do what I do.

Yes most definitely

Now more than ever. Given where I work.

I cannot say for fear of retribution.
