Good Luck my Girl!!
My daughter is a Bombadier (corporal) in the British army.
Yesterday, she started her new position as an instructor to junior soldiers at the Army Foundation college.
She went there herself and when she passed out, the commanding officer told us he'd love to see her back there one day as an instructor. He had chosen her on many occassions to talk to new recruits and youngster thinking of signing up because he felt she was really good at motivating others and telling it 'like it is'. He even took her to Sandhurst once to do a presentation in front of hundreds of high ranking army personell.
She hadn't had any contact with him since leaving the college almost 5 years ago, but she looked him up and emailed him to tell him she was going back there as an instructor. He messaged her back the next day and congratulated her. This Tuesday, out of the blue, he emailed her again wishing her luck and giving her some tips of the trade. It was an incredibly nice thing of him to do. He clearly does genuinely think highly of her.
We are so proud of her too. Its quite an achievement at 23 years of age!!
Those junior soldiers will no doubt test her metal, but she knows all the ropes having been there herself! Lord help 'em!! Lol
Go smash it Ginge!!!
