Start as we mean to go on

I don't 'do' NYE, but actually had a really nice time last night. Mainly because everyone was safely at home and I wasn't worrying about my wife working a night shift.

We had dinner with our neighbours and came back to our house to count down to midnight. Did it 18 minutes early because the church clock is fast 😅

Then some bright sparks decided to let off fireworks even though it was pouring with rain and winds gusting up to 60mph 🤦‍♀️

At 2.15am my daughter climbed into our bed and stayed there. Her two cousins who were sleeping over in her room were apparently talking too much 🤣

We took advantage of a brief window in the incessant rain this morning to go for a refreshing walk. Now all remains is to finish up the Christmas leftovers ☺️
