Why do taxes have to be so damn confusing

I have to file an 1041 form for the estate Im in control of and I tried last night and had no idea what I was doing. So I scheduled an appointment at an H&R block near me assuming they could help. So instead of helping me fill out this bloody form they tell me a whole string on nonsense as if I was supposed to understand it. Apparently I can just take the form I have and go to the bank with it? But it also needs to be done during next years taxes? And there was all this other stuff I need to do unless I don’t need to do them. So now Im back home with no idea what to do and feeling quite annoyed. 😒

Doing your taxes is like visiting the dentist to have your teeth pulled without anesthesthetic. It’s necessary but it’s never enjoyable to go through.

Normally when you file a tax return
It’s for your previous years income so you need all receipts, and end of year bank statements for the period ending 31st of March (or when ever your tax year ends) 2024 because your taxes are always done for the LAST financial year and NOT the current year that you are in.

Did the H&R person give you a list of what you need to collate?
