A very welcome windfall

A few weeks ago, i was watching a tv show...those of you in the UK will be familiar with Martin Lewis, but for those that arent, he gives tips and advice for saving money.
Hes mentioned many times a tax allowence hubs and i felt we might be entitled to, but we'd not done anythibg about claiming it, but he mentioned 2 weeks back the deadline to claim was fast approaching.....so on my day off last week i finally got around to putting a claim in to see what happened.
Yesterday.....we received a cheque for just over a thousand quid!!
