Cierzo I think that we have things that are changing our lives, on regular basis. Some are small and some are big. In the aggregate, change is visible. It's also different, for different parts of the world.
In the US, 10 years ago, we used to have bookstores. For the most part, we no longer do.
Two years ago, no one would dream of putting listening devices in their homes, multiple rooms, listening to every single word they say, interpreting it, and acting on it. It's called Alexa, and now Apple and Google have similar devices. Microsoft may have an offering as well. It's changing everything about us and our lives.
Virtual Reality / Augmented Reality. They are not the same, but they share a lot of common tools. Their effect has not been noticeable (yet) outside the gaming and other specialized communities, but these technologies are changing to alter our lives in ways that we've only begun to understand.
AI, not what's commonly known as AI today. That's simply sophisticated analytical, methods, applied to large data sets. Real AI is on the drawing board now, and it will have the most profound effect on our lives, since the internal combustion engine.
Custom tailored, individualized, DNA based cure. The first applications are starting to emerge. This is as significant to the combination of penicillin and XRay technologies, back in the day.
Nano technology - applications and ways it's changing our lives, are too numerous to count.
Materials science / rocket / space technologies. Today, is the historical equivalent of October 1492. Within 100 years, we will have 1M humans who call Mars home.
This is just off the top of my head.
