I Am Going to Say Something Controversial

Has anything really relevant for mankind been discovered in the last years? I do not think so. And I think it happens because it is not profitable any longer.

Big money does not go to real economy any more. Big business is not there. Big business is in financial speculation, in managing people's perceptions and opinions through media and entertanment, in big data trafficking of personal information. These are good times to sell smoke.

Some of it's been discovered then quietly hidden away. Why should the battery companies want a better battery out there that lasts longer or holds more when they sell them by the cell? In software there have been lots of developments but you don't get to see it very easily. Some things like hard drives have had lots of discoveries that allow data to be compressedore and more. Even in cooking there are discoveries. Mirror cakes didn't exist a couple years ago.
