The hard working people
Vs
Those that choose to take from the hard working people
You can't see why this won't engr work and will ALWAYS cause problems ?????????

@pdockal to be a capitalist involves taking money from hard working people who need a wage to survive

@pdockal it takes money from workers in order to increase the personal profits of those who already have money

@pdockal That is an absurdly simplistic analysis. What if a "hard working person" suffers a catastrophic accident and can no longer work through no fault of their own? Should they just be left to starve?
What if they are shot by a gun nut? Leave them to die?
Hint: it could happen to you.

@pdockal they pay workers less than what their labour is worth so they keep being dependent whilst capitalists keep making money

@pdockal @Guitarman123 Marxists have the belief if you are an employee your mere employment means you get equal share of the profits. It’s a flawed view of value that denies effort, rarity of skill, and of course, actual ownership, which they think should be abolished.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@Bumbles not even close to true. Marxists believe workers should pwn the means of production and earn what they put in

@Guitarman123 Can’t sack yourself, mate.
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@Bumbles if a majority of the co operative business want rid of you then you're out the door

@Guitarman123 No politics there, but it was an example. Committees are not efficient at making decisions, and the way you value what you earn is recreating a market labor force. A vegetarian co-op is one thing, a moderns efficient company quite another.

@Bumbles a single person isnt always capable of making complex decisions and if they don't have other's for help they're likely to fail
Bumbles · 51-55, M
@Guitarman123 That's not the same thing. I mean no offense by this, but have you worked in a large complex company?
Guitarman123 · 31-35, M
@Bumbles it is the same thing as thats how common ownership works or would work. I work for sainsburys

@pdockal and if you are refused insurance for a pre-existing condition?
pdockal · 56-60, M
@Guitarman123
That's NOT taking money from me
That's up to the worker to decide what they are worth
If nobody took those jobs the companies would have to pay more

@Adeptlinguist for the avoidance of doubt, I do not consider myself a socialist. But Americans don’t have a clue what the word means.
