Best quote I have read today

The internet is full of debates for and against waiting to age 70 to collect Social Security benefits. Both have merits.

In a recent article a gentleman was quoted as saying:

‘What are you going to do with the extra money — buy a faster walker?’

Pfft !

I'm 56.
I've paid 6.2% of my income ever since I started working over the table at age 12.
My employers have matched that for a combined total of 12.4% of every single dime I have ever earned.

Social Security is not an ENTITLEMENT !

And, had the FED not rearranged the rules and the way the fund was managed back under Reagan, that money would have grown exponentially over the years making the government money and We The People Money.

How about the government just dissolve the whole thing and pay every living citizen back what they stole from us over the years /

PFFFT !!!

Because make no mistake..., as the war to end payouts intensifies, there is no talk at all of ending the pay ins to the system. And if they do manage to end Social Security, they'll seek to find a way to continue to collect the 6.2% from the working class. because I can tell you straight up, they have no intention of allowing you to keep it.

Well, that gentleman is probably young and out of shape. He'll need a walker.

Boomers are duty-bound to hoard as much money and resources as possible so the youth can't have it.

Lol!!! I love it! 😁

I'm not worried about a faster walker. I do have concerns about inflation eroding my savings. that wait can add a little juice now that someone might appreciate farther down the road.
