Conservatives have tried to stop themselves from feeling the shame of sex for 600 years. This isn't about love of family - this is about hate of gays.

@Graylight Exactly, cnservatives would rather have the LGBT+ community not exist at all.

@SatanBurger What I've never been able to figure out is why they care so god**mned much.

@Graylight There's a deep seated belief that kids aren't born gay. They believe it's something that happens when you get to be adult so if you teach about these things it's somehow propaganda where they teach kids to be gay since they believe every child is born heterosexual.

You see it in heterosexual culture where parents groom their kids to marry the opposite sex early and have children. There's this assumption and when that assumption is broken they don't like it. They don't want to think it's a part of us.

@SatanBurger Yes, I heard something not long ago along the similar lines, I think. It was the observation that so many hetero men assume gays are cruising them and trying pick them up because that's the precise they they behave with women. Very interesting.

I still don't get it though. If I could turn someone gay (and I would if I could), what would be the big deal? But okay. Why can't they get this simple truth: I can no sooner put on a dress and marry a man as they could hang out at a gay bar. What is so hard about live and let live? Argh.
