I Think That When Guns Are Outlawed Only Outlaws Will Have Gun [Pro Gun]

Taking the guns of innocent people won't create less crime; it will just damage a industry and strip people of a way to protect their home.

A criminal will find a way to get a weapon.

As long as the person is sane of mind and cares/stores for their weapon properly; I don't see the problem.

Might fewer people become outlaws with fewer guns?

@WoodyAq I don't get thoughts of robbing someone just from holding a gun.
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@WoodyAq You'd rather hide the problem then?
WoodyAq · M
@Scroll You don't. Does that mean everyone doesn't?
Scroll · 22-25, F
@WoodyAq Most people I know that own weapons aren't criminals either.
WoodyAq · M
@Scroll The recent shooters weren't criminals either, until they were.
TexChik · F
@WoodyAq so you are saying [big]GUNS[/big] control a person’s Mind and make them commit crime ?
That’s knee deep BS right there !
TexChik · F
@WoodyAq doesn’t mean they do either ...

@Jackaloftheazuresand How do you interpret as hiding? It looks like honesty, the people who want to take away guns are trying to hide from the problem. They are hiding from the common sense fact that people / kids are not mentally stable and have no respect for others and life.

Look at facts: before the 1980's there were no mass murders in high schools or grade schools. High school kids carried guns in their trucks when going to school because we often hunted after school. Kids actually got grades and had homework and parents were concerned enough they helped their kids and made sure they studied at night. Parents took kids hunting and fishing rather than today's parents who give them a smart phone and computers to keep the kids occupied.

@acpguy You should know that I'm in favor of guns, I think you misread what I wrote
WoodyAq · M
@TexChik Guns make crimes easier to commit. The easier things are, the more likely people are to do them.
acpguy · C
@Jackaloftheazuresand Sorry if I did.
TexChik · F
@WoodyAq just carrying one without a license is a crime ( hand gun) ...but to say it facilitates crime is nonsense . It also deters it . And blaming the Gun instead of the criminal ... huge cop out . Guess that’s why obama released violent criminal illegals back onto the streets ... because they had no gun?
WoodyAq · M
@TexChik Its not a issue of blame; I'm just noting that anything that makes crimes easier to commit will, all else equal, lead to more crime.

a big part of the problem is prescription anti depressants.. these drugs are known to incite rage in people under 25.. who's ..
look at all the young mass killers who were under 25 and taking these drugs..
that would be almost all of them..
we didn't prescribe these drugs like candy in the seventies.. it's a big part of the problem, we also didn't have these types of weapons but I'm not convinced it would have mattered..
I went to highschool and most cars and trucks in the parking lot had a gun in them during hunting season and almost every boy in school carried a pocket knife on his belt..

@SW-User Very true, good point.

@WoodyAq Not every gun owner is a criminal. There are several people I know that are gun owners. Including law enforcement.

The time when guns become an issue is when someone’s mental state goes into affect. Many cases, these criminals are already diagnosed with mental illness, but they stop the treatments on their own, and not by a medical professional. I’m referring to medication. That is why they say to get professional help if you want to get of medicine. Many times, they go through withdrawals. If somebody is suicidal after they get off of their meds without supervision, why on Earth would anybody think it’s different, for someone that is homicidal after they get off without supervision? If that makes sense?
NaturalBeautyQueen · 41-45, F
@acpguy you made a good point. It wasn’t until the early 90’s when it was decided to have these kids be put on antidepressants.

So if a kid isn’t doing well in school, they were automatically diagnosed with ADHD. The teacher could refer them to a psychiatrist where they write a prescription for medicine like adderal. The problem is that most of those kids didn’t have ADHD. So it messed with them. And as I mentioned, withdrawals because kids didn’t want to take their medicines. Or sold the pills so that other kids could get high.

I believe there should be gun control. But I also believe the mental health need to do better in prescribing these young people drugs like this.
NaturalBeautyQueen · 41-45, F
Parents too.
NaturalBeautyQueen · 41-45, F
@SW-User agreed. Even Dr.Phil made a show about it.

It’s all guns and psych meds, just trying to make that money. I believe that we have a gun problem, obviously. But we also have a psych problem too.

@WoodyAq marijuana is legal. You don’t see everybody doing it. Drinking alcohol is legal for people 21 and over. You don’t see everybody drinking.

I can go on. Just because something is legal, it doesn’t mean that everybody is going to do it. People carry guns. But it doesn’t mean everybody is going to murder somebody, or go on a killing spree.
TexChik · F
@WoodyAq liberal policies makes crime easier ... let’s abolish that ! 😁
WoodyAq · M
@NaturalBeautyQueen That's true. But more people drink, the younger the drinking age. More people do drugs when drugs are legal... I could go on. But those are victimless crimes. it doesn't take a lot of people to do more real damage to a lot of people, the deadlier the weaponry they have.
NaturalBeautyQueen · 41-45, F
@WoodyAq “Guns don’t kill people. People kill people.”

And because of that, it’s the wrong kind of people killing. Facts that I have already stated.
