Something going on in Yorkshire…

Ok so whilst everyone is occupied by the current affairs and politics and the World Cup there is a rebellion happening right underneath our noses and nobody has noticed. For a while now maybe a year iv been noticing that birds and pigeons have started to take over the roads.

They have refused to move or fly away when my car approaches unless I horn.

And iv noticed birds small and large (magpies) havestarted to play chicken with my car.
So as I’m driving they swoop in front of my car from one side of the road to the other but they are getting closer and closer and yesterday I nearly hit a magpie.

The other day a pigeon just decided to sit.
It sat down.
I had to get out of the car. It watched me approach and decided it wasn’t in the mood for small talk and moved over to the grassy verge.

Is this just me

Pigeons, crows magpies and all kinds of birdies testing our boundaries and nobody has noticed.

I drive at 5:15am, I get the same, but they keep my driving speed down. Noticed it more recently, must be the heat.

In Yorkshire eh? Only there?

Perhaps they've flown in from t'other county.

Could be they are affected by the heat, unless that's not as bad in the North.
