Guns are tools until used otherwise no different than a hammer.
When a gun is used other than the tool the only thing that can stop it is another gun.
So if everyone had a gun then no one person would control the power.

@Dainbramadge The problem is the US right wing gun culture has nothing to do with treating them as tools and anyone who claims otherwise is just dishonest.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow It is not the 'right wing' running around in gangs, killing with illegally owned guns. And no amount of laws passed will deter those that do not follow laws. And if every legally owned gun was banned, the cartels would still be bringing guns across the porous border along with the children and Chinese made fentanyl they're trafficking. And with no legal guns for defense, we all would be no better off than the disarmed Mexican citizens at their mercy.
