It's hard to care about how others feel when no one cares about how you feel

Another mass shooting later, and the same mental health vs. gun control debate brings its tepid rage to social media feeds. Have we considered that maybe the solution to the problem can't be reached through policy?

All i ever see now is

Guns don't kill people. People kill people.
Yet if i shouted bang no one dies.

Also why don't we just send people to wars and keep the guns at home. If people kill people and guns don't kill people.

@Gangstress True, but it's not like everyday people are the ones that decide to commit these acts. It's a very narrow segment of the population that choose to commit these atrocities. Even if we take away the guns, these kinds of people might just move onto some other act of violence. There are many ways to hurt and kill people

Its not hard to teach right from wrong.

@Gangstress Well then suppose someone else hits the kid. Maybe someone bigger than them. Do you truly believe a child has the capacity to let this other person get away with it?
