Would US gun control be more likely if...

..the media didn't censor and sanitize mass shootings to avoid "disturbing" viewers. What we see is clean, routine outside shots of police and others walking around the scene, blurred images (if any) of victims, etc., when the reality of today is made up of the screams of terrified children and adults, the bullet-savaged bodies of 18 children lying in pools of their own blood and their classmates' blood on school floors, the pain of the survivors being rushed to hospital. A mass shooting is a horror and we should be forced to confront that horror and not allow it to be hidden from view to prevent America from being "upset" by reality. :'(

@GrinNude It is a major tragedy when anyone is slaughtered by a nutcase. But there have been lots of recent instances where innocent people have been murdered by assorted nitwits and the Slave Patrollers. In a majority of those cases everyone from judges to police chiefs and the local yokels have made excuses for the murderers and exonerated them. So, when you get as outraged over those cases as you seem to get when kids are murdered in school rooms maybe, just maybe, things will start to change for the better.

Do you remember the guy wo murdered the people at church and the cops took him out for a hamburger and fries? Do you remember the nitwit Slave Patroller that broke into a guy's apartment and shot him dead and when the judge passed sentence the judge cried for having to do it? There are tons of such cases. Get pissed off when those murderers get away with their crimes and then you will be getting on the right track.

@independentone I don't own or carry a gun. I really don't like the idea of being in crowds where untold numbers of people are carrying loaded guns and, if things started to happen, they would draw and start shooting all over the place. I'm not paranoid about it but I know that it can happen at any time.
