With a government shutdown, should Congress and Senators get paid while the people they are representing suffer? They have families to take care of.

Pretty sure a couple of weeks ago Trump claimed that the TSA workers would be getting a pay check by the end of the week. Looks like that was just another lie. Cheers!

as of late March 2026, TSA employees began receiving back pay and paychecks following a partial government shutdown that left thousands working without compensation for over six weeks. While many received retroactive pay, some workers reported receiving partial payments and continued uncertainty regarding future paychecks.

Current reporting from PBS News, CNN, and Federal News Network provides the following details:
Payment Timeline: TSA employees began receiving retroactive pay on April 10, 2026, covering work performed from the start of the shutdown through April 4.
Funding Source: The payments were made possible by an executive order from President Trump on March 27, which directed the Department to immediately compensate agents using redirected funds.
