He was a lot more thoughtful a man than people realized (and I include myself in that assessment). 🤔

@bijouxbroussard That's amazing - I didn't know that existed! While I always thought he was a little goofy, I always felt he was decent. I'll never forget him in that classroom on 9/11 when the man whispered in his ear and he stayed put, finished the visit with the children and then dealt with the horrifying emergency...
@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP Watching his interactions once he became a private citizen. I still don’t think he was a great president, but while he was in office I never thought he was a racist, or hated women, or was deliberately putting self-agrandissement above the needs of the country. Sometimes I thought he was slow…but now that we have someone in office who does seem determined to destroy us, I can forgive "Dubya" a lot.

@bijouxbroussard Maybe in some way he can help lead the Republicans out of the darkness they are in.

That was insightful and knowledgeable and true.

Which begs the question was his period in office 'designed' by people with a totally different agenda ?
Those uncomfortable pieces to camera that just made you cringe ? (On the golf course "Now watch this drive" etc.)

To think that people used to mock him for his perceived lack of education . . what a difference twenty years makes.

His biggest blunder was to invade Iraq on the premise of WMD after 911. Bin Laden was hiding in Waziristan on the Af-Pak border.

@BohoBabe You have said exactly what I was thinking reading the above posts. Personally I'd have said he wasn't someone you should want as your President. Howver the bar las been lowered to the point that Bush now seems a giant among Presidents.
