He was a lot more thoughtful a man than people realized (and I include myself in that assessment). 🤔

@bijouxbroussard He also does oil paintings...perhaps the last of the old-line republicans 😔
@bijouxbroussard what made you change your mind?
@fun4us2b My best friend has a book of his portraits of immigrants, along with their stories. It’s a beautiful and touching body of work. George W is a talented artist.

@bijouxbroussard That's amazing - I didn't know that existed! While I always thought he was a little goofy, I always felt he was decent. I'll never forget him in that classroom on 9/11 when the man whispered in his ear and he stayed put, finished the visit with the children and then dealt with the horrifying emergency...
@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP Watching his interactions once he became a private citizen. I still don’t think he was a great president, but while he was in office I never thought he was a racist, or hated women, or was deliberately putting self-agrandissement above the needs of the country. Sometimes I thought he was slow…but now that we have someone in office who does seem determined to destroy us, I can forgive "Dubya" a lot.

@bijouxbroussard Maybe in some way he can help lead the Republicans out of the darkness they are in.
