Essential Gov't Functions Not Impacted By A "Shut Down"

I do find the bullet point about the US Postal Service being self-funded "amusing" given USPS has lost nearly $100 billion over the last 15 years.

Many of those people you listed, like our service people, must work without pay till the shutdown ends. Yes, they will get back pay. Yes, going without the meager pay they recieve, for even a short while, puts many of them in financial straights. You can deny that, of course. But, you would be wrong. Again.

Business as usual for that ilk. They learn to parrot one thing. @BizSuitStacy
@jackjjackson It's amazing. They don't question what they read or hear on tv. They don't bother to validate whether the info is true, or if something is taken out of context, and simply don't think things through.

Sunshine-girl tried telling me that garbage was piling up and toilets were overflowing at national parks during a shutdown. How could that be happening if the parks are closed to the public?
