Honestly Bernie Sanders is the only one that deserves anything

“It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them…”

This man is a national treasure.

Bernie Sanders is another rich, lying socialist who would destroy USA. With Americans voting the way they have (against immigration, to improve economy, etc.) Sanders had less chance of winning than Kamala.

You leftists live in fantasy land.

@SW-User You say socialist like it's a bad thing.
SW-User
@NativePortlander1970 What is the difference?
SW-User
@Crazywaterspring Do you think it is a good thing?

Why?
@SW-User

With true Socialism everyone pulls their own weight, they get back what they put in what they're worth, the harder they work the more they get, freeloading is not looked favoribly upon and is often punished, think of the Amish and the Pennsylvania Dutch, as well as Israelu Kibbutzes. We the People have total control over everything, not private corporations or even the government, which is what the American founding fathers envisioned. Read the Preamble of the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights, ponder them deeply, analyze what We the People actually means.

@SW-User In other words, BinBiden's student loan bailouts are unConstitutional and go against true Socialism, it's theft.

@NativePortlander1970 These are small communities acting as large families. They share the same view and are willing members in control of how they run things. Does it work in a country? What happens when someone wants more?

The more your government interferes with you and your money, the less freedom you have.
@SW-User Many, many societies have practiced true Socialism.in one form or another for thousands of years, including the First Nations Natives that have spread throughout the western hemisphere, from the Australian Aboriginies, Arctic to South American tip Natives, the various Pacific and Caribbean/Bermuda/Bahama islands, etc., it is the oldest form of society going back to the days of hunter gathering
SW-User
@NativePortlander1970 These days, we live in a consumer society. People use tech, and they enjoy lifestyles not experienced by the hunter-gatherer societies thousands of years ago. Things have changed greatly since we began to build kingdoms and empires. Money has been in use since ancient times. Humans have only become more elitist and more greedy. This is the 21st century and most of our societies are not small anymore, and people want all they can get, including hypocrite socialists who believe in taking more than is already taken from the taxpayer. Socialism is not a collective effort centered around survival anymore, it is the avenue governments use to intervene further in our lives. In fact, right wing economics has the old hunter-gatherer socialism that you described. It is about liberty and doing things for yourself, your family, your group. Socialist liberals want to compel everyone to be the same and to depend on them, the state.
@SW-User As I have said, those that do that are not true Socialists, society has become the way it has because capitalism has gotten way out of control.
@SW-User
The more your government interferes with you and your money, the less freedom you have.

That's another reason why Socialism is good. It gives people more democratic control of the government, so we keep our freedom.
@BohemianBabe Never thought we would agree on something.
@NativePortlander1970 Well you seem to go back and forth pretty frequently. Are you a Nazbol?
@BohemianBabe I have never wavered with my Socalist views, nazis were never true Socialists.
@NativePortlander1970 I know, that's why I'm asking if you're a Nazbol.
@BohemianBabe What exactly are you implying? You just contradicted yourself.
@NativePortlander1970 How did I contradict myself?
@BohemianBabe By agreeing with @SW-User and then accusing me of being a nazi, out down the crack pipe, I even agreed with you with what youb old her.
SW-User
@SW-User you can't intervene more directly than telling a woman she cannot be rid of a foetus
@NativePortlander1970 I asked if you were a Nazbol, not a Nazi.

@BohemianBabe “That's another reason why Socialism is good. It gives people more democratic control of the government, so we keep our freedom.”

I do not believe in forced equality. A socialist system is good in small communities where this is what they want and they have the same ideas and same values. This is not the world we live in. If an individual wants to break away from the normal way of things, which is having someone employ them, and they want to work for themselves and get others to work for them; they should be able to. If people want to own a home or a business, they should be able to. Why should the government tax anyone more than they already do? Why should the worker instead of an owner be in control? Why should we all be the same as one another?

Some of us are going to be the prostitutes and some of us are going to be the pimps. That is life. We live in a so-called diverse society with competing visions, one with people who WANT things. With everything they have and have come to know about, how could we have a happy socialist society with everyone sharing everything?What about those who want more? You can't make them go away.

@SW-User “you can't intervene more directly than telling a woman she cannot be rid of a fetus.”

A woman should not be able to get rid of a fetus, a living human, for any reason. American women live in a country full of contraceptives and several options with which ones to use. It is also an intervention when abortion is legalized. All laws are interventions, whether they be making something legal or illegal. In the states, if a woman has a health emergency when pregnant, and it endangers her life, the doctors can intervene. If she only wants to get rid of her baby, the innocent human life with a body separate from her body (fetus is a person), it is another matter. It has been left to the states, meaning there is no national ban. Abortion is not a constitutional right.

@NativePortlander1970 “As I have said, those that do that are not true Socialists, society has become the way it has because capitalism has gotten way out of control.”

We live on a planet with eight billion people and most of them want capitalism instead of socialism. Most of them would choose to own a property over not owning property. Most of them would choose having more money over not having more money. Capitalism didn't get out of control on its own. It is a person's natural right to pursue happiness and fortune for themselves and their family. I say this as someone observing, someone who does not particularly want wealth. That said, I can understand wanting security for your children. Socialism is there to contain us and capitalism offers a way to get out of it if you have the inclination and the desire to be wealthy,
SW-User
@NativePortlander1970 @BohemianBabe I think it's a waste of time thinking about how we can make society better or richer. We need to think about our families, our children, and do our best for them. We can be good without the state telling us to be, without stopping other people from being rich if they want to be. I can give money to a person in need without expecting others to.
