I am not a fan of Trump but he is not a communist and FYI the USSR doesn't exist anymore.

He's not a communist. Communism is the abolition of private property, where everything is owned by the state. Trump doesn't support that, he's a capitalist.

Communism is an economic system, not a form of government. Authoritarianism is a form of government. Trump is an authoritarian and what you describe fits into that definition. He also doesn't understand what tariffs are, as he revealed in a recent interview.

I like calling Trump names, but that one really doesn't fit. Trump loves authoritarianism, etc, but he can't detach enough from himself to make a decent Communist pitch. If there's a philosophy there at all beyond malignant narcissm I'd say it's more fascism.

By the real definition of Communism, nah. Are his politics similar to that of Stalin and Mao? Ohhhhhh yeah.

Russia, Chine and North Korea aren't Communist states. They are dictatorships. That's why Trump loves them, because thats what he wantd.

Putin is a survivor of communism. Trump put tarrifs on China to boost American manufacturing and will likely put more. Thats a good thing. Every Chinese container ship is a war ship in disguise.
