The Crisis at the US Borders - Compromise in sight but probably will be rejected

The Republican party seems not to want to fix the problem they identified! When does a 'victory' in politics get celebrated? Is getting Trump re-elected more important than solving your country's problems one at a time?

The problem was fixed until biden recinded Trumps executive orders.

@Patriot96 Trump never succeeded in implementing his exec order. Several states including Texas had delayed plans for redistricting to implement the plan. Biden's rescinding just finalized its death. Both parties are responsible for kicking the can down the road. Even with control of both houses Trump failed miserably to implement any policy promise including border protections, healthcare, gas prices, inflation. He also raised the debt substantially.

@Livingwell Yeah, gas is so much cheaper now under kindly old joe biden at $3.63 a gallon, than the $1.82 a gallon I paid under President Trump
Livingwell · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 it was NEVER 1.82 a gallon. It has been a steady 3.50+ except for a few preferred states. OPEC has control over prices. The US only provides 17% of the supply. Now answer me if gas is so expensive why have exports gone up? Why are we paying oil companies a subsidy?

@Livingwell "The price of gasoline continues to dive, falling 3 cents per gallon last week and reaching a state average of $1.82 per gallon in Florida Sunday, according to the AAA — The Auto Club Group."

@sunsporter1649 My price went up 5 cents in a week to $3.86 a gallon. I filled yesterday. In fact California is over $7 a gallon. Remember Trump "punishing" the blue states? It lives on. So what you are saying is while OPEC controls world gas pricing, big money from the new swamp controls the price of gas in the US. Cheap for red, expensive for blue. You just undercut your own argument of Biden responsible for high gas prices at $1.82 a gallon. 🤣

@sunsporter1649 That article was April 2020. World crude demand dropped due to the pandemic. Demand has since recovered. The US threatened OPEC about artificially raising gas prices and they laughed and did it anyway. Biden nor anyone else could do a thing.

@Livingwell " it was NEVER 1.82 a gallon." I wonder who said that....

@Patriot96 How did Trump fix the problem with his executive order (just asking)?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@JollyRoger You're kidding, right?
