I think government and bank employees should

Have you noticed the trend of closing high street branches and 'encouraging' folk to bank online ?

They're doing this in the UK and it's really annoyed people. Especially the elderly.

Government is trying to do the same with Post Offices.

The idea that you're now supposed to trust in things you can't physically see or question in person is frustrating.

Even local businesses insisting that debit card payments aren't automatically qualified with a good old fashioned receipt from your retailer.......trust it or not, it still feels like a con.

The banks started extending their hours decades ago here. If you had lived in the 60’s the hours here were 9 a.m. till mid-late afternoon. It was hard to do business without taking off from work back then. When they extended their hours and installed ATM machines and opened for a few hours on Saturday mornings that was a big help for me. And now many have a number you can call and punch in your bank account number and check your balance, deposits and debits to see if checks have cleared etc. Makes it very convenient.

They should work a rotation like the rest of the world

Don't work retail anymore and have a monday-friday job. Perhaps retail employees should go into your office and demand you work the weekend.

You can do most of your banking online and at the ATM.
