I just checked my social security statement and ….

It says that they overpaid me almost $5,000 and they want their money back! Wtf? How does something like that even happen? I don’t have money like that to give them for their mistakes! There was some kind of a waiver thing I could fill out to hopefully get them to waive it so I will do that.
Has this happened to anyone else here?

Be very careful. Go down to the social security office in person to try to find out what is going on. Don't give anyone any information over the phone or on the internet.
