Friday £45 billion of borrowing to fund a whole slew of tax cuts. Then today the Bank of England has to commit £65 billion of "new money" to shore up the gilts market because of this announcement in Fri. Madness!

@LordShadowfire There was a famous quote from Thatcher (Truss's icon) about socialism having problems when you run out of spending other people's money.

I thought you were referencing that. It would have been a perfect zinger if you were!
