The economic problems are well beyond Biden's hands at this point. Honestly, they were well beyond his hands when he took office. Steps to avoid economic problems needed to happen at either the end of Obama's term or near the beginning of Trump's. They were too afraid the dampen the good times that they missed the chance to prepare to absorb the next dip.

These problems were coming. The pandemic influenced timing and severity some, but people were predicting this back in 2019.
