Gotta love how people attack the messenger and not the message. If you actually look at the law as enacted by Britain it aligns with what the messenger reported. I hear the British government went after 4chan which is out of the US. 4chan told the Brits to pound sand. As an American company it is not under British law.
@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP I have read several precis of the law. I haven't actually sat down and read the law. I do know the the report about 4chan is accurate.
Breitbart is one of the biggest fake news sites online. This stuff should really be illegal. I have no idea how the West can continue being democratic when so many people are living in a world of "alternative facts."
The article referenced in the X post was published in 2017 by a right wing American media outlet. The law referred to is intended to prevent the dissemination of material produced by proscribed terrorist organisations. Nowhere in the law is there any mention of "propaganda" or "far-right".
The fact that no one to date has been imprisoned for viewing the outpourings of Messrs Farage, Robinson et al, is de facto proof that the opinion expressed is rubbish.
Oh, I get it... I have to read far-right online propaganda for 15 years before I go to jail. Seems like a long time to read that stuff before they finally come and pick me up!
@basilfawlty89 He's deporting illegal aliens. "it's okay to imprison someone for voicing their opinion for 15 years" but not okay to deport illegal aliens. That's called a false equivalence and it's embarrassing you even compared the two
