To play devil's advocate: There is an advantage to being a CEO with engineering knowledge. It surely helps you hire the right people and make better management decisions. This is probably why Space X did what it did and why Tesla was at one point also looking promising.

However, as you well know; Musk is a mechanical engineer, not an IT engineer and thinking he understands both is one of his many problems!

And yes, his online fanboys are a joke. They are almost as dumb and deluded as Andrew Tate fans. His ownership of Twitter is like the Wehrmacht after Stalingrad. Taking insane risks and going on the offensive when defensive tactics are obviously needed. With propaganda saying that this is still winning, whilst the fundamentals are utterly fucked and defeat is certain. But until the walls are about to crash down, the people believe!

That's right! Because unlike these lazy whining employees who need to be hired becuz SOCIALISM, Elon is a real genius, a real Capitalist (yes with the uppercase C), a JOB CREATOR and above all DESTROYER OF THE EVIL LIBS!

I remember coming across a guy that didn't believe in factories but instead thought products where made in heaven by God and shipped to earth somehow.

It is wacko....the guy is not a genius. The education Elon claimed has been found to be false. At least one "degree" was an "honorary" bullshit degree that he didn't actually earn but was given to boost how he looked on paper for execs in the beginning of his career.
