@Angelwarfare I don't think he is advocating to ban all guns entirely. There are many countries that make guns accessible to farmers and hunters after training and getting a license cause they actually have a use for guns.

@RebelliousSpirit Idk what he is advocating but I find the view of banning guns naive, in general. Criminals will ALWAYS have guns, corrupt governments will ALWAYS have guns. Trying to disarm law-abiding citizens, like an authoritarian dictator, is foolish beyond anything.

@Angelwarfare oh come on look at other countries. Like Europe has few gun owners and while far right parties are on the rise everywhere they still have a functioning democracy in most european countries, and even better ones than we in the US have.
Also no criminals don't have easy access to guns there either just look at statistics of european countries.

Guns can easily do more damage than a car and while we do need to learn from history it's harder to compare it to our time nowadays with evolving technology and societal changes and Information and news spreading around the world in seconds.

To drive a car, you need to be of a certain age, pass a test and get a licence that is often reviewed. If youbhave a health issue the licence can be revoked. To actually own a car you need a lot of money, plus needvtobrgistervit. You needcan annuals check on the car and you pay annualb road tax to use it. There are many safety features on a car and you also need insurance. Thqt would be a great start if the same would apply to owning and using a gun

@Angelwarfare If you are making the claim for indigenous people that hunting is cultural, then might I suggest they need to limit their hunt to culturally suitable weapons, Like Bows and spears.. My own view is that anyone who does not require a firearm for use in their employment should be considered mentally suspect, just for feeling that need. Guns allow any aggression to be multiplied a hundredfold beyond the reach of the person. A society that allows that is simply destroying itself..😷
