Why is Trump looking for the deal to put America first when the deal is about the planet NOT America, therefore, should put the planet first?

He's president of America, not the planet. Have you looked into what the deal entails? It would hurt many industries which Trump has openly supported, coal especially. Why on Earth is his withdrawal a surprise to you people?

@Invisible: execuse me for my ignorance, I thought America was on the planet. So the entire world has signed into this dangerous agreement and did not realise its negative impact :D
@Invisible: none of them have.. its what theyre favorite trump hating celebrity told them to think...

@ReincarnatedPhoenix: It's not dangerous for everyone else. Just for America, because it specifically redistributes wealth from us to other developing nations and drastically limits many of our industries. Of course other countries are on board -- it helps them be more competitive!
ReincarnatedPhoenix · 31-35, F
@Invisible: Aha, I see, so you are worried about the wealth redistribution, you are worried about wealth redistribution in the US not just the "transfer of wealth" to other developing nations as you are implying
Invisible · 26-30, M
@ReincarnatedPhoenix: Of course I am. Forced redistribution of wealth undermines production and prosperity and is a terrible idea.
ReincarnatedPhoenix · 31-35, F
@Invisible: Shows that you are an asshole, which is expected of a Trump supporter.
Invisible · 26-30, M
@ReincarnatedPhoenix: If you have no argument other than that conservatives are assholes, then you should keep your ideas to yourself until you can actually support them. People like you are why we can't have ideological progress: you refuse to understand why someone would support something that you don't like.
ReincarnatedPhoenix · 31-35, F
@Invisible: I understand where you are coming from, difficult to argue with the likes of you. You like having wealth restricted to 0.005% of people and the rest can just die, to hell with them.
Invisible · 26-30, M
@ReincarnatedPhoenix: Wealth should go to those who produce it, not to those who scream until they get what they want. From there, it can be given voluntarily rather than by force via the government. It's charity versus theft. Please understand the difference and that by giving people everything they need, you incentivized them to be consumers and spend more of their time pursuing leisure rather than production.

@Invisible: Redistribution is in the interests of ordinary people, including middle class Americans. What Trump is doing benefits big oil Barrons, though probably not their grandchildren.

@Burnley123: and you claim to not be liberal. Tsk tsk.

@LvChris: Well, if you're really into socialism, please go to Europe and enjoy your relative impoverishment over there.

@LvChris: I'm not saying you have to leave, I'm just saying that if you really do like socialism, then that's where you aught to go rather than forcing the US to progress into yet another socialist experiment. Thank God that Trump is in office, it seems like he's the only one with the balls to stop the madness.

@LvChris: Do yourself a favor and learn about the history of socialism, what it's done to so many nations, how many times it's failed, how many millions of lives it's cost us. Then, if you truly believe that it's the answer, I'd be willing to listen to your reasoning.

@LvChris: We live in a social democracy! (i.e. partial socialism) We have ever since the early 20th century! If you don't understand that, then I'd wager to say that you don't know anything about political/economic theory.

Do you remember why America fought for it's independence in the 18th century? Because they were tired of wealth redistribution, also known as taxes! That's why I think of socialism as fundamentally unamerican.

If all you've got to say is that I'm trying to sound smart, then what I've got to say to you is that you're trying to sound compassionate even though if you knew anything about incentives you'd understand that, in the long run, socialism hurts people rather than helps them.

@Invisible: Don't bother with lvchris, dead end.
