Who enabled this family of criminals to embezzle funds for this long?

Ilhan Omar has a problem and here it is! When allegations of immigration fraud began popping up, Ilhan Omar quietly changed her birth year from 1981 to 1982, so nobody would find out she was really 18 when she fraudulently obtained her U.S. citizenship, through her father's naturalization.
Unfortunately, (for her) she didn't realize that Minnesota Legislative Reference Library maintains an archive showing the original birth year she provided when she was elected.

MILITARY PAST UNDER SOMALI DICTATOR
According to the New York Post, federal investigators are reportedly examining whether Rep. Ilhan Omar's late father, Nur Omar Mohamed, concealed his military background when he entered the United States as a refugee in 1995.
Mohamed reportedly served as a colonel under Somali dictator Siad Barre, whose regime was responsible for widespread human rights abuses, including mass killings targeting the Isaaq population during the late 1980s.
Investigators are reportedly reviewing whether Mohamed disclosed his alleged military service during the refugee application process.
There is no established evidence that Mohamed personally participated in the killings or knowingly falsified immigration documents.
