Red dyed diesel is regular diesel that has red dye added so it can be identified as fuel meant for off-road use, where it is tax-exempt, compared with on-road diesel. Using it in on-road vehicles is illegal and can lead to substantial penalties.

Truckstops don’t sell red dye. So truckers can’t really take advantage. Regular diesel is still taxed unless he asks congress to suspend the tax (like Biden did). So really this does nothing because truckers don’t have much access to tax free fuel. All this does is make MAGA world cream their shorts.

@jshm2 my understanding is that is chemically the same, just with red dye. Other than that, you are spot on. It’s lip service that doesn’t solve the problem.
