British Farmer Racially Profiles Group Of Muslim Men Out For Sunday Drive, CNN Reports

CNN reported an ugly example of racial profiling coming out of the UK last weekend, as a British farmer called the police on a group of Muslim men who were out for a Sunday drive.

According to CNN journalists on the ground, five Muslim men had gone out in their white vans for an early Sunday drive when a white farmer called the police, claiming that they "looked suspicious."

"Islamophobia is alive and well in the UK," said CNN investigative journalist Mika Bradford. "These men were labeled a threat for the mere crime of driving while Muslim. What sort of country is the UK that a group of Muslim men cannot go out for a country drive in a group of unmarked vans without being subjected to hateful bigotry? We are appalled that not only did the police take a citizen tip that was clearly racial profiling, but they acted on it, arresting and strip-searching these men who had perpetrated no violent act."

CNN managed to obtain an interview with one of the men who was victimized by the profiling incident. "We were able to speak to this poor man, Abdul Mohammed, while he was being held by police," stated CNN's Jake Tapper. "Mohammed expressed how disappointing it was to still face this level of discrimination in the UK. He said it seemed like all of the progress in Muslim acceptance has been for naught. Mohammed stated that he felt like the only solution was to kill all of the infidels and impose Sharia law, and we at CNN can certainly empathize with how Mohammed is feeling after all he's just been through."

At publishing time, CNN had announced that, in a positive development, the innocent men had all been released on bail and could go back to whatever it was they were doing.

This 'parody' is so far from any actual fact as to simply be a clear anti-Muslim rant. But that's not a surprise.

@sunsporter1649 Sure. 4 British men were arrested acting suspiciously near some white vans. The local residents were evacuated on suspicion of there being explosives in the vans. None were found. The men were released on bail under investigation. Those are facts. The rest is speculation.

@FreddieUK A few details you missed....

All 5 were arrested when a local farmer in her 50s raised the alarm after stumbling upon three white vans blocking a lane in the village as she drove home from a party with her husband and a friend early Sunday morning.

As she went to turn around, she spotted a fake-looking company name “FUEL 2YOU” on the back of the van, along with a phone number that was a digit too short.

Suddenly, she said she saw multiple men, some wearing masks and balaclavas, running from the vans and fleeing into the fields towards the base.

The farmer called the Ministry of Defense police at the base and, after receiving no answer, eventually phoned the police, with armed cops arriving at the scene around 10 minutes later.

She also sent a message to the village WhatsApp group warning about what she had seen.

“In case anyone is awake … something very odd is going on in the village. The road by the village hall is blocked by three white vans and we saw a group of masked men. I’ve called the police to report,” she wrote in the message, seen by the Times of London.

RAF Fairford, which has a particularly long two-mile runway, reinforced to support B-1 and B-52 bombers, was highlighted as a potential target in July by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which warned the British of retaliation for allowing the US to use it as a staging posts for air strikes in the Middle East.

@sunsporter1649 Thank you for filling out those detail, none of which contradict my basic facts (except I got the number of men wrong). The farmer's wife stated that she alerted the authorities. According to Donald Trump, this was unnecessary as they were already aware of the men's activities and were watching them.

Your second factual account omits the anti-Moslem rhetoric of the piece you copied in the OP, for which I am grateful.
