@Jayciedubb Not running out of missiles... Good question that, about revealing any such fact. If it is true it is certainly wrong to make such an admission.
I have seen quite a few people stating their opinion as if a fact that the war against Iran is to deflect attention from Trump's alleged connections to Jeffrey Epstein; but I find the allegation incredible. Although Donald Trump is not particularly bright or well-educated, has no military or diplomatic experience and does not understand other lands, even for him I think it would be a gigantic gamble for enormous stakes and no guarantee of "winning" anything or gaining successful "deals".
After all, it has only displaced public attention. The investigations are still going on.
President Trump's public motives for the war were never consistent, suggesting he did not really know himself.
Rather, I suspect a mixture of unconsidered support for Israel's expansionism, and a blundering attempt to help the American oil industry; but mine is still a guess.
Or perhaps his unlateral decision came from simple paranoia about Iran becoming a nuclear-weapons carrying enemy of the USA and of American commercial interests - without thinking that the aggression will naturally make the Iranians even less friendly towards "The Great Satan".
I also reserve any judgement on any association any of the Trump family may have had with Epstein and Maxwell unless and until defined and proven. In any case, by no means all in Epstein's various circles would have broken any laws, let alone committed any sexual crimes. Most were there for financial and/or political influence - but even if innocent in law have now been tainted by association.

As someone else pointed out, Trump deserves the Nobel peace prize for ending the war in Iran 11 times in 6 months...
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow The Nobel Peace Prize is not meant as a joke but Trump has tried to turn it into one, and that pseudo one from FIFA was merely tawdry.

@Bottlerocket can you believe they let me VOTE

You lost me at "Trump's Promise ".😷
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sree251 Trump is one bad actor. My beef is with the number of people prepared to hitch themselves to such a man. That speaks volumes on a society. But we agree. Organised crime has a code that is constant and understands that everyone faces the same code. The current regime doesnt. And that will be its downfall..The unknown factor is whether Miller will see the code applied to everyone and be more measured in his dealings with the world. But I suspect he will. We will know soon enough..😷
sree251 · 41-45, M
@whowasthatmaskedman Miller? Do you think Stephen Miller has that much pull?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@sree251 I am absolutely certain Miller is Trumps puppeteer and heads up the committee pulling strings in the White house. You dont believe any of the cabinet are actually doing anything real. Do you? Go check the authors of the project 2025 document and find out where they all are now. It is enlightening, or terrifying, depending on how political you are and whether you live in America. Like you, I am not political. I just want to see how they manage the economy. I suspect it will be Stalinist. But thats a guess, based on Millers personality.😷

@AthrillatheHunt Where are you going with this? What is the connection with what @GrinNude said? Is this an ongoing feud you have with him?

Well if Trump runs out of missals he will still have his Bing Bing Bong Bings to fight with.
There have been a few times trump claimed to be winning the war and saying Iran shoots missals at us - we press a button and bing bing bong bing there all gone. In reality they weren't all got and they did a lot of damage that Trump doesn't talk about. Cheers!

Well, perhaps "claim" more than "promise", but Trump and his minions showed only desperately poor understanding of the Middle East, in all ways.
He was never clear why he ordered the USA to attack Iran, and what might happen as a result. So is now faced with a situation extremely difficult to resolve, short of the USA issuing a complete declaration of end of fighting and complete withdrawal of US forces.
He has also shown a peculiar trait of claiming other nations have "agreed" to something, only for them to reply immediately with, "No we have not!" If his claim was true any of the other countries involved would likely confirm it, whatever their opinion of it.
Meanwhile, it's not only the USA, Israel and Iran who are affected by this war; though Trump and Hegseth seem not to care about the rest of the world.
The attacks on Iran have strengthened her resolve, deepened her bitterness towards America, probably made its regime more oppressive, and taught it their biggest "weapon" is the Strait of Hormuz. All more or less predictable.
The only puzzle is the present location and medical condition of her new Supreme Leader, who was badly injured in an air-raid that killed other members of his family.

@ArishMell The legal paths are mined with Trump appointees to obstruct at every turn. But Epstein was hurting Trump and the Republicans in the polls and some Republicans were threatening to change sides over the morality of it. Imagine if you will, Republicans with Morals..😷
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman I can't take sides as your last sentence suggests, but I imagine there are plenty of decent Americans irrespective of their political loyalties.
Nevertheless I do know Donald Trump is desperately trying to hide whatever links he may have had with Epstein.
A huge number of people seem to have been drawn into Epstein's and Maxwell's web, and although there is no suggestion all them committed any crimes, they are certainly tainted by association.
Ex-UK Ambassador to the USA, Peter Mandelson, was one of them. In an interview on one of BBC Radio Four's news programmes he explained that Epstein seemed to have three separate circles of associates. Only one circle was connected to sex crimes, the others were political and business networks, and it was that access to people with too much money and power that lured so many.
There is no suggestion Mandelson was in the sex circle, but he was in the influence circles and guilty of betraying UK governmental confidence.
Which set Donald Trump occupied, what if any crimes he may have committed, we do not know - and I do believe in the fundamental right of innocence until proven guilty - but he has shown himself in the past to have scant respect for women, and is certainly desperate to protect himself and his pals.

He also said he would only accept unconditional surrender. Now he's begging them to negotiate a deal. Everything he touches turns to crap.
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
@MoveAlong Well to be fair he didn't say who would surrender.😂
PicturesOfABetterTomorrow · 41-45, M
@MoveAlong At this point any deal will be a surrender document.

Lyndon B. Johnson said exactly the same thing about North Vietnam when he showed up in March 1965 with American ground troops to lead the charge.
The USA lost their war with North Vietnam after 17 years and 58,000 US casualties, no different than the US lost Iraq which then led to losing Afghanistan, two simultaneously operating parallel wars which the US lost with more embarrassment incurred than most other wars it lost.
This of course will lead to yet another very predictable loss for the world history books to show ...but not the American history books of course, when the US officially is declared the loser in their war with Iran.
Americans are not warriors by their very cultural nature, which is why the US has lost every war it ever started in the last 214 years.

It was a promise from Donald Trump. Believing anything he promises is the first mistake.

@ElwoodBlues no it's my way of saying to look at the loop holes you clearly see the world way too black and white
