Science Pleads The 5th

Science has declined to answer any questions to avoid incriminating itself for crimes it may have committed.

Upon being brought in for a Congressional hearing over its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, Science stated that it was advised by its attorneys to not answer questions so as to not to provide damaging witness against itself.

"Science has elected to exercise its fifth amendment right to not provide testimony that may be used against it in criminal proceedings," said Science's attorney Jay Varner. "This decision should in no way be taken as an admission of guilt by Science. We continue to maintain that Science is wholly innocent, and hope it will keep its mouth shut from here on out."

Representative after representative grew visibly frustrated as Science repeatedly invoked its constitutional protections.

"So when exactly did you know natural immunity was superior to vaccination?" one congressman asked.

"On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer," said Science.

"Why did you call for censorship of anyone who stated that COVID leaked from a lab, when you knew that was the most likely explanation?"

"I invoke the Fifth."

"Was the rule for six feet of social distancing based on actual evidence?"

"Fifth."

"Did you ever tell people they couldn't go to church but could attend a BLM protest?"

"I'm going to go with... the fifth."

Legal experts noted that invoking the Fifth Amendment is a constitutional right and does not, by itself, imply wrongdoing. They also observed that it was nevertheless an unusual strategy for Science, which had proclaimed itself to be "settled" back in 2020.

At publishing time, Science had requested that law enforcement please stop "following the Science."

So since “the science” took the 5th 111 times today are we no longer “trust the science”ing.

@ElwoodBlues Nope, she turned herself in, looks like reading comprehension is not one of your strong points, Try again. Someday you will figure out that your everybody votes concept is bullschiff

I loved Josh Hawleys retort to him, he said you can’t plead the 5th you were pardoned
Gibbon · 70-79, M
He claimed Rand Paul's questioning was setting him up for perjury.
Isn't pleading the 5th a form of evidence that there's something really there to be concerned about?
Come on Fauci you admitted to having a big head in your diary why not admit to the lies that got you there?
@sunsporter1649 says
We know, anyone with stage 5 cancer and a bullet thru the heart that perished with the kung flu in their system died from the kung flu, right?
NOPE.

You are basically asking Are the Covid death numbers the result of mis-classification of other causes of death?

Here in the table are US death numbers for the top ten causes of death for six years ending in 2020. Notice how there are 20% more deaths in 2020 than the average of the previous five years? Doing the math, that's 500,000 excess deaths in 2020.

Notice how, in 2020, 345,000 of those 500,000 excess deaths are classified as Covid? Notice how almost all causes of death rose in 2020, including cancer & heart disease?
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2778234

If there's any validity to the claim that lots of deaths have been mis-classified as Covid, why did almost all causes of death increase in 2020? Wouldn't mis-classification produce a reduction in those other causes? The evidence says mis-classification is a red herring.

newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
trump took the 5th more than 440 times in a single sitting.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@sunsporter1649 No, your owner took the 5th almost every time he was deposed.

I see you're still trying to peddle the same tired, illogical, evidence-free, lies about Dr. Fauci.

As Waveney said:
So your 'smoking gun' is that scientists discussed multiple hypotheses during a scientific meeting and then changed their views as more evidence came in?

I seriously doubt that you even know why you're fabricating such a malevolent slur.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@newjaninev2 President Trump got a pardon?

Actually, SCIENCE stymied a superstitious witch hunt!

"So when exactly did you know natural immunity was superior to vaccination?" one congressman asked.

All you need to do is answer this question is to compare the fatality rate among the unvaccinated with the fatality rate among the vaccinated. Regardless of grandstanding Congressmen, the numbers don't lie.
Adamjoshua · 18-21, MNew
@sunsporter1649 It’s pointless to reply to these people they aren’t interested in facts only what they are told. Man dies in car accident oh he had Covid put him down as died from Covid that’s another case we get paid for.
@Adamjoshua Actually, I'm very interested in facts!! Sunstroke is basically asking if the Covid death numbers the result of mis-classification of other causes of death. I've got the facts.

@Adamjoshua There are the facts - shall we discuss them now?
Munumbis · 46-50, M
I bet science is sweating a bit.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@carpediem Only in certain circles.
carpediem · M
@FreddieUK In most circles. Also in historical fact. The truth is coming out and it points to an evil man. Agree with me or not, I don't care.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@carpediem I'm glad you are not getting worked up over disagreement. Obviously, we are both expressing an opinion based on what we believe.

Got evidence of a crime?
Bring forth charges then...and release the entire Epstein files and let the chips fall where they may.
How people let him have the type of power he did after what he did during the AIDS crisis, I'll never understand.

The man was already responsible for millions of death before 2020.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@SumKindaMunster So when I watched some moron suggest exactly those actions it was a fake press conference?
SumKindaMunster · 56-60, M
@newjaninev2 Feel free to find it and post it here. You will discover it's not what you were led to believe.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@newjaninev2 "Since when has President Trump been a medic and, more importantly, since when have you believed anything he said?"

Sound familiar....
Waveney · M
I’d be interested to see if there is just one scientist, anywhere in the world, who believes that Fauci committed any sort of crime.
Waveney · M
@Kwek00 agreed. Republicans are looking for gotchas, not facts
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Waveney 🤷‍♂ You are also responding to the "babylon bee", which is not factual but so called "satire".

Considering the quality of their "satire", ... I think it's more defamation hiding as satire to outrun liable suits... But hey, this kind of movement needs it's own Völkischer Beobachter
Waveney · M
@Kwek00 yeah I know. In fact anything sunsporter posts is satire; even though I’m pretty sure he believes it.
carpediem · M
He pleads the fifth even after being pardoned. What does that tell you about this evil bastard?
PSuss1 · 56-60, M
In summary... Paul's kangaroo court stymied...
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues So you approve of poosting beheading photos, but oppose posting photos of pontiffs, eh
@sunsporter1649 I said nothing about approving; in fact I disapprove of violent images like that. I merely pointed out that tRump himself CHOSE to post and release the image below🤣😂

And tRump himself CHOSE to post and release the disgusting image below🤣😂

sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@ElwoodBlues So you do approve of posting photos of beheadings of President Trump, eh. Interesting....
SumKindaMunster · 56-60, M
@waveny blocked me because I saw some posts where he was roleplaying with "littles", adults roleplaying as children on here.

I asked him if he worked with underage or vulnerable children, because that would be troubling to hear considering his role playing activity on here. 😆
4meAndyou · F
By pleading the fifth "on the advice of his lawyer," Fauci opened himself up to prosecution for contempt of Congress.

Florida, and possibly other states, are now looking into whether THEY can try him...but the concensus is that they can't, because it's a federal issue.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@4meAndyou The States can not try him on Federal charges, but State charges....
4meAndyou · F
@sunsporter1649 He has a LOT of legal fees in his future. Good thing he scammed all that money!!! 😢
Adamjoshua · 18-21, MNew
He has testified to congress 20 times in the past, of course that’s before they had his diaries and knew he made all that shit in the past up including lying about the number of Covid deaths severely inflating the numbers to give himself more control and power. And the crap like having dinner at Jake trapper‘s house, pictures of them no masks on sitting side-by-side it exactly the same time they were telling people they weren’t allowed to leave their houses. They weren’t allowed to see family members if they really had to go to the grocery store, they had to stay 6 feet apart. They had to wear masks and all of that other bullshit while he’s smiling in a picture with Jake the piece of shit trapper having dinner together mugging for the camera.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
At publishing time, it was learned further that identifying the color of Science's tie, or the color of the carpet was also subject to 5th Amendment protection against self-incrimination. Science did not want to be prosecuted for color-blindness, according to inside sources who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Adamjoshua · 18-21, MNew
He’s trash that lied about everything from distancing and masks to where it came from. All he cared about was his “fame” and “power”. Locking away families and filling his book up with secret dinners out with Jack trapper and others. Believe the science didn’t bother with any science.
@Adamjoshua says
distancing and masks
DEAD WRONG!! As usual!!!

Social distancing: Benefits beyond COVID-19

Comparing 12 childhood diseases
The researchers reviewed the records of more than 375,000 children seen at the 80 pediatric medical practices associated with Boston Children’s in 2019 and 2020. They looked for the number of cases of 12 common childhood infections: acute otitis media (ear infection), bronchiolitis, common cold, croup, gastroenteritis, influenza, non-streptococcal pharyngitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, skin and soft tissue infections, streptococcal pharyngitis, and urinary tract infection (UTI).

Three infections nearly disappeared
“With social distancing, all of the diseases showed a decline in 2020 compared with 2019,” says study author and pediatrician Dr. Jonathan Hatoun of Children’s Hospital Primary Care Center.

The biggest declines in infections were found in respiratory illnesses: flu (99.5 percent), croup (96.5 percent), and bronchiolitis (92.9 percent), which essentially disappeared in 2020 compared with 2019. The smallest drops were in skin and soft tissue infections and UTIs (35 percent for each).

“This makes sense since those last two are not really contagious or transmissible from child-to-child like the flu or a cold,” says Dr. Vernacchio.

Stopping flu in its tracks
The difference in the number of flu cases is especially interesting. The number of flu cases in kids in the 2019/2020 flu season was much larger than in 2018/2019 but the spread of flu ended abruptly with social distancing.

@Adamjoshua Perhaps you should review the MANY other times Fauci testified before Congress under oath and presented the science.

March 11, 2020: Testified before the House Committee on Oversight and Reform during a hearing on "Coronavirus Preparedness and Response."

May 12, 2020: Testified remotely before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee regarding plans to safely return to work and school.

June 23, 2020: Appeared before the House Energy and Commerce Committee to provide an update on the Trump administration's response to the pandemic.

July 31, 2020: Testified before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis regarding the urgent need to control the virus and the safety

March 18, 2021: Hearing before the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations regarding the COVID-19 response.

May 11, 2021: Joint hearing before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) regarding the federal response to COVID-19 (notable for sharp exchanges with Senator Rand Paul).

June 4, 2021: Hearing before a Senate Appropriations Subcommittee to review the fiscal year 2022 budget request for the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

July 20, 2021: A subsequent hearing before the Senate HELP Committee focusing on the ongoing pandemic response and virus origins.

January 11, 2022: Testified alongside other federal health officials on the emergence of the Omicron variant.

June 16, 2022: Testified on the status of the ongoing pandemic, federal mitigation strategies, and updates to the vaccination program.

January 2024: Fauci sat for 14 hours of sworn, closed-door questioning by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic across January 8 and 9, 2024.

Rand Paul's witch hunt has nothing to do with science and everything to do with political grandstanding!!

@ElwoodBlues So it does not bother you at all that he funded the very lab that ended up killing hundreds of thousands of Americans, eh
