U.S.Supreme Court Rules Trump’s Birthright Citizenship Restrictions Are Unconstitutional !!!!!

Chief Justice John Roberts, joined by all three liberal justices and Justice Amy Coney Barrett, wrote that the 14th Amendment guarantees automatic citizenship for nearly all children born on U.S. soil, even those born to parents in the country unlawfully.

A sixth justice, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, disagreed but voted to block Trump’s order under federal law.

If there was ever a no brainer that made it to the Court this is it. The wording of Birthright Section in the 14th isn't ambiguous at all. How in the hell could this have been 6-3 instead of 9-0.

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

EDIT: Justice Thomas in his dissent wrote: "The 14th Amendment was primarily aimed at formerly enslaved Black people."

The 14th doesn't state anything like that. While the slavery issue has been argued there is no indication that was the intent of the Birthright clause. Those who wrote the Amendment undoubtedly knew it would include the children born to non US citizens.

Kavanaugh made statements that seem to show that he has no right to sit on SCOTUS! No congressional act can reverse the effects of a constitutional amendment. This one has been repeatedly ratified by court rulings. He needs to resign!
