Trump administration walks away from anti-weaponization fund

The Hill reports:

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5904594-trump-administration-scraps-anti-weaponization-fund/

Brief extract:

“The Trump administration will scrap its nearly $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” fund amid pushback from GOP members of Congress and a lingering court battle demanding an explanation for the arrangement.

The move comes after a federal judge in Florida on Friday reopened Trump’s case against the IRS, whose settlement served as the basis for creating the $1.776 billion fund. In doing so, the judge ordered President Trump and the Justice Department to file briefs to explain “charges of collusion and whether the Parties are truly adverse.” “

My comment:

I hope that the Florida Federal Judge throws the book at Demented Donnie, his DO(in)J, all his dirty lawyers, and as much of his misadministration as possible!

Also, I hope that the injured Capitol Policemen can continue to press for damages in their counter suit!

Maybe Trump just got greedy. Trump originally sued the IRS for 10 billion dollars. Then he decided to settle for a 1.8 billion dollar slush fund. But he is now figuring why give money away when I can have it all and he will re open the 10 billion dollar law suit. Cheers!

Trump goes full TACO because he has no choice. He’s doing the same thing with the Iran war, a war he choose to create because he thought it would be quick and easy.
@justanothername Except Demented Donnie and Kegsbreath never realized that it’s a helluva lot easier to start a war than to win one—or even end one!

Apart from being morally and ethically wrong and illegal m most likely.... Is a big smack in the face to all those honest cops out there just trying to do their job
@Convivial Just trying to pull this despicable stunt should have resulted in invocation of the 25 amendment & the purging of the DO(in)J!

tRUMP should personally have to award each of the 140 + officers who were injured at least a million dollars as well as the estates of those who died from his own pockets.

Those most seriously injured should receive many times that amount!

@KunsanVeteran but it won't happen
