@1930sfan In all of Congress both on the federal and state level there are only a handful of Republicans who have spoken out against the atrocities ICE has committed against brown people. And even fewer have spoken out against racial gerrymandering. If you're just now leaving the Republicans behind you probably did vote for some of them
But for God's sake don't pretend to be a Progressive if you don't vote like one.

@MoveAlong I never wrote it for modern Republicans first off and I never voted for Democrats I used the term Progressive Republican to say I am a Teddy Roosevelt republican you shouldn't necessarily group people because they say that this or that and I am Progressive like I said millions of times

I’ve been an independent since I was able to vote back in 1980 .

I am an Independent voter. I am NOT a Republican, but I do like Republican policies. I absolutely HATE Democrat/Leftist/Marxist/Progressive policies. They ALL lead directly to communism IMO.

I know a lot of Republicans who have left the GOP because they finally get that it’s no longer the "Party of Lincoln" or of Teddy Roosevelt.
MAGA has changed the platform . Those two former presidents would probably not even be welcome in that party today.
