@JPWhoo as I said, go back and pay back all your refunds, besides that how many poor people do you know that employ millions of people like the rich do?

@Prison1203 Wrong. That’s not what I said.
And if the rich were taxed their fair share they should be paying about 98% of the taxes, not 85 which is a figure you plucked out of the air anyway.

@Prison1203 No one is talking about paying more taxes. We are talking about everyone paying the correct taxes that have been set by democratic governments and not using their accumulated capital to gain an unfair advantage over ordinary working people.

NOT taxing the rich is what’s new.
Don't you realize that a person would have to be at least 74 years old today to have voted for Ronald Reagan in 1980?
Those high tax brackets you spoke of are not coming back in our lifetime. Let's focus on something more reasonable. Target 40-42%. And cutting taxes for lower income earnings while raising the minimum wage to at least $18 per hour and finally indexing it to inflation.

The normalisation of tax avoidance by the wealthy is what is new.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout If billionaires only invest when they’re allowed to hoard unlimited wealth then your entire economic model depends on glorified bribery.
But youre cool with that because it helps everyone, right?

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout And if you shift the balance away from direct taxation of wealth to taxation of goods and services, you kill economic activity . . .

Sounds like a great new idea. We stop trying to take what rightfully belongs to others. What a concept.
