The Art of War: know your enemy.

President Trump appeared fatigued as he navigated the staircase of the People's Palace in Beijing with up to 30 steps, and they quickly stopped so he could "catch his breath". The moment was recorded on video, with the Chinese leader placing his hand on his guest's back as they climbed the stairs outside the location.

China's President Xi Jinping appeared to recognize that Donald Trump was struggling to climb the stairs as the pair suddenly paused, with numerous onlookers suggesting it was to give Trump a moment to recover. The US President seemed incapable of tackling the steps in one go.

For context, the primary, iconic "tall" staircase used to board Air Force One at the front door usually has roughly 18 steps.

It was so good that a more vigorous man was elected to take over from ... well,... the other bloke.

How many steps you reckon JoeB could do ?

I invite you to find anything remotely comparable with Trump.

Nothing, to those who worship him, is comparable with Trump

@Thinkerbell I love your limericks usually, but on this occasion I'm glad that you didn't use one as the subject is more serious. 😊

The art of war is to know your enemy. So maybe China's President purposely chose the Peoples Palace because he knew all the steps would tucker Trump out and make him look weak. Cheers!

Xi and Trump stopped at a landing, where Xi seemed to be explaining something about the ceremony. Trump didn't appear "out of breath" to me. In fact, he was a step or two ahead of Xi for the 30 steps you referenced.

I invite anyone to watch the video (that you did not see fit to include) and let them draw their own conclusion.

Maybe because your link does not identify what stairs are being climbed, and they certainly don't look like the much wider stairs that are at the entrance to the Great Hall of the People.

My link does identify the stairs as being at the entrance of the Great Hall of the People, and jibes with the 30 steps, pause, then 18 more steps that you mentioned earlier.

Here is another picture. The stairs don't look anything like your unidentified picture.

EDIT: I found your picture on Google Images.

"The leaders are shown touring the historic Temple of Heaven in Beijing following high-stakes summit talks held at the Great Hall of the People."

@Thinkerbell Temple of Heaven or Great Hall of the People, what does it matter. Trump couldn't make it up 30 steps. This was the report. Deal with it.

@sree251

You're wrong yet again.

The video I posted clearly showed Trump making it up the first 30 steps, leading Xi all the way.

Then there was a planned pause at the landing, where Xi pointed out some things about the ceremony and/or the view, before they proceeded to climb the remaining 18 steps.

You only have to use your eyes. Try doing that instead of relying on some biased text you found somewhere.

At the same time, you just expose Xi Jinping without even realizing. The art of war? That's Trump's moto. Xi is nothing more than a sitting duck.

Let alone Israel trying to start wars.

That's Trump's closest enemy. Iran and China should be waiting in line to find out.

Before Israel finds out.
