If Trump lies were currency the ballroom would pay for its self and have a bit of money left over for a Trump golf coarse at the WH. Trump said he wouldn't tear down the east wing - he did. Trump said it would cost 200 million dollars but it would come from private sources. Now it's 400 million and tax payers will be paying for it. I bet when it is done it will be over a billion dollars and it will be tax payers paying for all of it. Cheers!

Because he approves all projects related to the Fed, and that includes Fed "properties." It would be strange if oversight goes to the FBI for instance.

Any business has facilities professionals trained in construction...it should be an experienced person hired to run construction projects....Does this mean Kristi Noem was approving construction for Homeland Security? Oh Trump secured very private funds with no way for tracking and accountability, at least under the current majority of congress system. Lying Lavish Lewd Lindsey (LLLL) first of all is very vulnerable in SC for his political position, has 3 strong primary challengers for Senate on the Democratic Party ticket, and one extremist nutjob challenging him for the Republican primary nomination. He will literally do anything to appeal to Trump and to appear 100% for Trump’s agenda. Also the gop hardliners are attempting to push a false sense of urgency to complete the Titanic (oops I mean ballroom).

If the taxpayers (via Congress) are going to foot the bill, then Congress needs to know exactly what they're paying for. Detailed construction plans with timelines cost estimates need to be produced by tRump. If some of it is secret, no problem -- Congress is quite accustomed to handling secret information.

@ElwoodBlues graham is already telling us that the cost estimate is 332 million. But he is asking for 400 million. You know...because all projects run over. Except trump has always said that his projects come under budget and schedule.
And hey...what's an extra 70 million for change orders. Those golden toilets are gonna be an upcharge.
