California’s AB 2624: Criminalizing Investigative Journalists
A California legislator has introduced AB 2624, the “Stop Nick Shirley Act.” It criminalizes investigative journalists who share videos of “immigrant service workers.” Like Nick Shirley, who took videos of fake businesses in Minnesota, and then California. Democrats are angry about that. Wonder why....
“The act’s sponsor, Democratic Assemblymember Mia Bonta, has said that it would stop “bad-faith actors” who try to threaten immigrant service workers or incite violence. Her Republican colleague, Assemblymember Carl DeMaio, claimed Monday, though, that the bill would defend nonprofits from public scrutiny and silence independent journalists.
“That’s not about public safety — it’s about protecting powerful interests,” he said in a statement. “If this bill becomes law, the message is clear to every journalist in California: expose corruption and you will be punished.”
DeMaio added that the bill targets conservative content creators like Nick Shirley, who has accused organizations across the country of fraud, including in videos showing their workers.” Fox 14
Translation: California Democrats want no part of getting rid of fraud and seek to destroy Nick Shirley and all like him.
California is trying to pass a bill that would criminalize investigative journalism with misdemeanors, $10,000 fines, imprisonment, and content takedown.
The proposed bill is titled AB 2624 and was made after I exposed mass fraud by immigrant groups in America.
Under AB 2624, government-funded entities like the Somali “Learing” Daycare centers would be protected from being exposed if they operated inside California.
The enemy truly is within. When our politicians would rather protect fraudsters and illegal migrants, it’s time for us to stand up or face mass oppression from the traitors who “rule” over us…

He’s right. Instead of fighting fraud that harms taxpayers, California’s AB 2624 is the Dems plan to protect the fraud and rid themselves of anyone who exposes it. The bill is unconstitutional, but Democrats don’t care about such things.
