The question is is it normal, in most countries it is normal, sad but true!
It's also insane to be charged to live on the Earth which is free for all. To be charged for what the Earth produces which should be free for all. But then that's the way it used to be until what is called civilization began.
Simply boils down to lack of love for your fellow man - greed - power

Correct.

So if capitalism is so bad, why do socialists and communists constantly insert themselves into its society to steal from it? 🤔
Waveney · 41-45, M
@BizSuitStacy What exactly do you mean by stealing? Are you talking about taxes, public services, or something else?
Picklebobble2 · 61-69, M
All could almost be forgiven if the top 1% would just pay their owed tax burden

@sunsporter1649 Same rules apply.
If people on the lowest incomes are not exempt from paying their fair share there's no reason why the wealthier should get away with it.
And if those that do are from a wealthier class, especially if they hold high public office, makes even more sense they're held accountable to a higher standard.

@Picklebobble2 Obviously your opinion does not apply to rich demonocrats
Picklebobble2 · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 my comment relates to anyone in high public office whatever their political party

Under communism the government owns everything. Under American capitalism Blackrock, Vanguard, Goldman Sachs etc own everything.
Why is the national debt so huge? Billionaires get their government handouts but pay no taxes.

When you realize just how much wealth is tied into broken systems it starts to get very upsetting. We've reached a point where solving some of the above issues could actually trigger a recession or depression.

Punish success, reward failure

@Justmeraeagain they're too busy socially manipulating and indoctrinating. This is actually a defined documented mission of the Montgomery county School system in Maryland
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Gibbon They make it seem like if you work hard, you don't deserve the reward, and you automatically hate the less fortunate.
I am the less forunate and I realize there will be no money for anyone or any programs...because who'd continue to work and build up if it is going to be forced back out of their hands, people we all just live poor until the money runs out, and it will.
I wonder how much the people who scream and yell help out their neighbors or the homeless? Or do they only want someone else to do it?

@Justmeraeagain it's actually always been this way. But yes there are so many addicted to government handouts they have no interest in working or trying to improve their situation being at the bottom of the ladder.
