Woman hired immigrants to build onto her house and then she called ice so she didn't have to pay for it

She is currently being investigated as it is illegal to hire and then not pay, this is fraud. We'll see if anything happens to her justice system wise.

@mysteryespresso Yeah because even if they were undocumented, that's a scheme the Americans devised to get a free service. They called ice almost all the way through the work was done, they clearly didn't want to pay them.

The immigration status of the workers does not invalidate contract law. But they would need legal counsel to enforce their claim . . perhaps a sympathetic lawyer will represent them pro bono.

And hopefully the roof will leak.
