Why do we need political parties?
Because most politicians fear a undivided populace.
Because most politicians fear a undivided populace.
Some history about republics would be very appropriate to learn about this. Even the founding fathers of the USA constitution, where at odds with each other.
A few didn't even want slavery (Hamilton and Franklin). Not many though. While others were more afraid of monarchies (Franklin for certain). Yet again not many.
While the majority were afraid of the people, after the French revolution. Notice that happened shortly afterwards 1789-1794.
Yet at the same time Adam Smith's book "The wealth of nations" 1776 about capitalism was a major influence.
All of that contributed to political parties.
