end human trafficking!!!

America, it is time for us to put an end to human trafficking once and for all.

On January 1, 1863, one of our greatest presidents—Abraham Lincoln—issued the Emancipation Proclamation. It wasn’t easy. In fact, it was incredibly difficult. But he did it. He paid the price, yet he did not waver—because he understood that if we were to be a truly free nation, we must ensure that all people are free.

So with that said, ladies and gentlemen: as long as human trafficking continues, none of us are truly free.

How do we do it?

First, better healthcare. We need stronger healthcare systems across the board for many reasons, but in this case, a significant portion must be directed toward helping victims of human trafficking. That means protecting their identities so they feel safe, and providing them with real support—free therapy, access to human services, and long-term care to help them rebuild their lives.

At the same time, as we protect the victims, we must never protect the perpetrators. They should be swiftly brought to justice, immediately imprisoned, and face severe consequences for their actions.

@1930sfan = The Emancipation Proclamation did not end slavery in the Northern States. And thousands of escaping slaves in the South were thrown into Union concentration camps where they died.
@Diotrephes the New Deal was effective! Let's not ever go there again! USA is too sadistic
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@Roundandroundwego Blacks were excluded for the most part from the New Deal. It was a racist program that primarily benefited Whites.
@Diotrephes no, not really. But I agree it's too good for today's hate - murka. It's only going to get worse. Nothing you can do!

Not saying we shouldn't but how realistic is it and how does the measures stop it exactly?

Also we should get a proper definition first. Currently taking someone to a different room or kidnapping someone over state lines is trafficking. Those things will always happen no matter what the economic circumstances are so let's get proper statistics first for real trafficking.
@DrewM the New Deal was effective.
Like with inequality and feeding the kids to the Epstein class - the New Deal was quick and efficient and effective.
So, two parties are never ever going there! Good riddance to the whole Trainwreck.

I am not saying the country, all countries do not need to do all they can to eliminate any and all forms of slavery, himan trafficking etc., but i dont see why we can't privide for th we health and welfare of the people as well!

The US does not have a health care system. We have a poorly organized hodge podge of providers and monetary reimbursement for a such. I worked in one area and with a certain population. That needs tweaking! We were on the right direction with ACA, but that was change and not for the positive.
:) you lost me when you put healthcare as the first step to ending human trafficking.

What I think you are trying to say is that Communism is the solution to all human misery.

You might also read the Emancipation Proclamation. Lincoln didn't free all the slaves, just some of them.

@Heartlander I'm not a communist every country outside of the US has Healthcare
@1930sfan

Universal health care in the US is hampered by Democrats demanding that it be paid for by shifting the cost to people with more money and not by managing the cost itself.

I'm not against universal health care, I'm against using it as a wealth transfer process. The more they shift the cost the greater the number of people that need government assistance in paying for it. Those Americans struggling with the cost of health care aren't the poor who get it free, but the middle class Americans who are forced to pay for not only their own but for those who are getting it free.

Beyond that, I fail to see the connection between health care and human trafficking.
It's not talked about enough. Largely because our citizens are too preoccupied with partisan issues. That is their priority and they allow it to sway them when it comes to more important issues like this.

It's why our current president is a pedophile.
@MasterLee How?

gregloa · 61-69, M
It’s not legal. There are already laws in place and services available.
1930sfan · 26-30, M
@gregloa but it still happens

@1930sfan
Omg. No amount of money will stop all illegal activity???? What about drugs? What about robbery? What about fraud? On and on and on.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
We would need to eliminate the democrats and rinos.
@MasterLee DHS is being run by pedo protectors.

As long as you make this a partisan issue, you will inevitably support some oxymoron like that.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@SinlessOnslaught such utter horseshit
@MasterLee Okay

@jshm2 and no Abraham Lincoln did not own slaves.

Historical records show that Abraham Lincoln was one of the few U.S. presidents who never owned an enslaved person. In fact, Lincoln often stated his opposition to the institution of slavery, though his political approach to ending it was cautious and gradual until the Civil War.
@1930sfan Lincoln did not give two shits about the slaves, 1:45...[media=https://youtu.be/QDpoNGLnecw]
