@Prison1203 I'm British. The OP references a UK bye-election last week in which progressive candidates outnumbered a populist right wing party by around two to one. Reform UK ran a wholly negative campaign focused on immigration that frequently crossed into racism.
@TheRealBarbossa I never vote green here, because they can’t win. It’s like throwing away my vote; I could write in "Mickey Mouse" and get the same results.
@bijouxbroussard idk how it works in the states, but here in Norway the voted are put into percents and a certain amount of people per percent has to be part of the overall picture.
So if we get one or two green candidates into "office" their voices count towards future projects.
The only thing is, we’ve had presidents who weren’t racists (that’s not the case currently, but that’s another story. We have a large population who’s racist, and they voted him in).
@Elessar That’s been the effect of most third party candidates here because even though they have a smaller base, the registered GOP always vote, and rarely for anyone other than their candidate. The one time a third party candidate might have split the GOP was when Ross Perot ran, in the 90s
For being so called racists the right has done more for blacks than any democrat ever has, so do tell me how we are racists, the left= Jim Crowe, KKK, against civil rights and many more things. I’m sure thst you don’t have a clue about that.
